Summer Deen Explorers: Foundations in Faith
Deen Explorers is a foundational Islamic summer program designed to nurture young hearts and minds. Children build a strong connection to their faith, develop confidence, strengthen character, and cultivate a love for learning Islam through a mix of meaningful lessons and fun activities.

- Qur’an Reading & Tajweed: Beginner level with proper pronunciation
- Seerah & Stories of the Prophets: Inspiring life lessons and values
- Akhlaq & Character: Lessons on respect, honesty, and kindness
- Aqeedah: Understanding core Islamic beliefs
Daily & Summer Experience
- Interactive lessons, group discussions, and storytelling
- Team-based games, creative projects, and outdoor play

Guidelines for Graduation
The Miftaah Lite Seminary Curriculum is centered around 6 Core Subjects
One of the main factors that distinguish our program is its graduation requirements. To complete the program and graduate, students must receive a passing score for each course. To complete the Miftaah Lite program, the student must complete at least 2 courses per semester for a total of 8 courses over two years.
A total of 8 course courses are needed to qualify for the Miftaah Lite certificate. After completing 8 courses of the Lite program, students are encouraged to transfer to the Associate Program located at the Miftaah Campus.

What age group is the Deen Explorers program for?
The program is suitable for children ages 5 - 12. We tailor activities to fit different age levels, ensuring every child can participate and learn in a way that’s fun and meaningful.
How is the program structured?
The Deen Explorers program is structured around weekly lessons focusing on key Islamic topics. Each week includes:
Interactive learning through games, discussions, and hands-on activities.
Learning tools like Kahoot!, quizzes, and group challenges to keep kids engaged.
Hands-on experiences such as simulating Wudu and Salah, and learning real-life Islamic practices.
What if my child misses a session?
We understand that sometimes things come up. If your child misses a session, we can provide a summary of the lesson and suggest activities to catch up on. We strive to ensure that every child can stay on track, even if they miss a session.
Are the programs taught in Arabic or English?
The Deen Explorers program is primarily taught in English, with Arabic terms and phrases introduced where relevant to enhance the learning experience.
Can I volunteer or help out in the program?
Yes! We welcome volunteers who are passionate about helping kids learn about Islam. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact our program coordinator at juniors@miftaah.org to learn more about how you can get involved.
Are there any additional costs or fees?
The program fees cover all materials, prizes, and activities. If there are any additional costs (such as special events, field trips or activities), parents will be notified in advance.
